Summary of work: • A new class of Process Integration approaches are developed for optimal planning of Plastics Recycling Network (PRN) • The basic PRN synthesis problem is defined by a set of waste plastic streams and recycling plants using a systems approach. • Prospects for future extensions of the PRN synthesis problem are discussed
